Friday's Foto

Coney Island beach, from the fishing pier to the Western-most jetty, is now a staging area for South-bound migrating Black Skimmers. On a recent trip I counted approximately 1000 of these tern-like birds. Most of these birds will winter in Mexico and Central America.
