Blog Change
After around 20 years of reposting the weekly New York Rare Bird Alert sightings to this blog, I've decided to remove the 600 or so entries. Let's face it, they were mostly just filler. There are so many other sources now available for this information, I think it's time for me to try and return to true blogging. I began this blog in 2004 and burned out a bit, but I'm going to make a concerted effort to get back to creating more interesting observational writing. In the meantime, here's a resource page for rare bird sightings. Also, here's the American Birding Association's Rare Bird Alert page. Finally, here's a woodcock from this weekend's timberdoodle-a-thon at Green-Wood Cemetery. It's one of seven I found for my Sunday early morning tour.
