I thought it'd be interesting to look back at one of my early "Citybirder" posts. Despite my optimism in that update, this wasn't actually the final nest location for this local pair of Red-tailed Hawks. "Split-tail" was pushed out of the area by a more aggressive male. Eventually, Big Mama and her new mate moved their nest to Green-Wood Cemetery near the Hillside Mausoleum. A few years later that tree came down and they relocated a short distance away:
