Friday's Foto

This juvenile Red-tailed Hawk was perched in a large conifer at the New York Botanical Garden. Unfazed by the throngs of families passing by on their way to the annual train show, this young raptor was no doubt scanning for one of the garden's many well fed squirrels. Red-tails nest in all of the city's five boroughs.
