Friday's Foto

The Baird's Sandpiper breeds in the high-arctic of North America, as well as, Greenland and parts of Siberia. This individual stopped off in Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Field to feed & rest before continuing its long southbound journey to wintering grounds, which extend from the Ecuadorian Andes to the lowlands of Tierra del Fuego.
