Unidentified Raptor
This unidentified raptor was seen perched at the top of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn. It's a favorite perch for the local Red-tailed Hawks. This bird was easily twice the size of our resident hawks. The gigantic raptor seemed uninterested in the nearby flocks of pigeons, but made a few unsuccessful passes at an unleashed German Shepard just inside the park's entrance.
