Whether it's a Merlin pursuing House Sparrows, a kestrel stalking dragonflies or a Red-tailed Hawk hunting for pigeons, "Columbia's" staff atop the arch at Grand Army Plaza offers a convenient perch for our local raptors. Next time you are walking passed the Soldiers and Sailor's Memorial Arch Monument make sure to check the highest point for birds of prey.
