The
Royal Tern is North America's second largest tern species, the Caspian being the largest. Breeding along coastal habitats from Maryland to Texas, they can frequently be found wandering farther north during summer months. Over the past few weeks at least three individuals have been spotted along the beaches of Brooklyn.
