Friday's Foto


Pine Siskins, a relative of the American Goldfinch, are usually found North of NYC in the Winter. During years of food shortages, however, large flocks will move farther South in search of seed crops. This appears to be one of those years. They can sometimes be found mixed in with flocks of goldfinches. Look for them at your thistle feeders this Winter.
