The
swallow nestboxes along the West Pond trail at
Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge are still buzzing with activity. Many of the young
Tree Swallows have fledged, but remain in the area. Some still have nestlings sticking their heads out and waiting for a parent to arrive with food.
