Matthew from Brooklyn has a really nice nature blog. We've crossed paths in the field a few times, but I've only just started reading his posts. Good stuff, so check out the Brooklyn Bachelor.

on 3/7 in the middle afternoon I saw red-tails around the Nelly's Lawn nest. Male with rodent, bringing it to Elizabeth's tuliptree & mantling. The female was higher in the tree. After, evidently, proving himself a hunter, he flew back to the nest, then soon returned to the tuliptree, where some raptor rapture took place.
