Tar Sands Exploration Station

This past weekend was the DUMBO Arts Festival in Brooklyn. One of the presenters was a "mobile museum and sculpture housed in a 1982 Dodge camper van" dedicated to informing the public about tars sands, the Keystone pipeline and all the important associated public issues. Called the Tar Sands Exploration Station, it was conceived of by artist Allison Rowe and began its first tour in May 2011.

I recommend that you check out their Tumblr page here. Also read about how tar sands extraction adversely affects wildlife here.
