Whether you call them woodchucks, whistle-pigs, or land-beavers, the Groundhog is our largest member of the ground squirrel family. In Brooklyn, Green-Wood Cemetery is the last bastion of this shy, mostly vegetarian, animal. Rarely seen during the day, they mostly forage at dawn and dusk.
