Friday's Foto

Big Mama and her mate, Junior, have been nesting in Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery since 2006, when they took over the nest of another pair of long-time resident Red-tailed Hawks. In 2007 that nest tree came down in a storm and they relocated to a cedar tree at the "Hill of Graves". From 2008 to 2011 their nest was at the top of a towering Little-leaf Linden tree. This year they returned to the cedar tree to nest.
