Friday's Foto

The American Kestrel is the smallest of North America's falcons. Feeding primarily on insects, small mammals and reptiles, they can frequently be seen hovering in place over a field or meadow before diving down to capture their prey. I spotted this individual perched atop a conifer in Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery.
